Player Registration - Primary

Here are some important things to look for as you go through the registration process with Affinity/SoccerConnect.  (All photos/screen shots may be clicked to enlarge):
Sign On Screen
  • If you have an existing account from previous season(s) and/or from the RIBS tournament, you can sign in under those credentials. If you need to create a new account, click the blue button at the bottom of the screen. If you have registered before but cannot log in, and cannot reset your password, email registrar@memphissoccer.com and we will reset it manually. Please do not attempt to create a new account.
  • When you create your username and password, please note that all passwords must be AT LEAST 7 characters, but NO MORE THAN 8 characters.
First Registration Screen
  • Make sure the correct current season/year (Spring 20XX, Fall 20XX) is showing in the "Select A Season" drop down menu. Also make sure the "Player Registration" button is checked.  Click the Green Button to continue.
Second Registration Screen
  • If you already have an account, your name and auto-generated ID number should appear, next to the blue box that says "Register As Player". Click that blue box.  If you are a new player creating a new account, you'll need to fill in your demographic information on the screens that follow (name, address, phone, date of birth, etc.).  If you are a returning player, this information should auto-populate. Make changes if necessary.
Third Registration Screen & Pop-Up
  • You'll then get a pop-up box that say "Select Play Level"...select the "GMSA" option.
  • Once you select that option, your name and additional information will auto-populate if you are a returning player.  (If you are a new player, you'll need to fill in the required fields.) This pop-up screen is very important, as this is where you will add your photo, and select your teams. 
Third Registration Screen (Pop-Up Scrolled Down)
  • If you don't have a photo loaded, click the photo icon to upload your photo. Take a selfie with your phone, or otherwise use another photo of yourself from the mid-chest up. DO NOT USE YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE or DRIVERS LICENSE PHOTO.
  • The photo must clearly show your face from the mid-chest up, and must be in color, and facing the camera.  Do not use action shots or photos taken from a distance. Do not use photos where you face is obscured or turned to the side. Take off all hats and glasses.
  • A more detailed set of instructions for loading/cropping photos is available here, as provided by the state office.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT upload, scan, or otherwise use your actual DRIVERS LICENSE in this process. Take a selfie, or otherwise use a photo that is NOT part of your drivers license. 

Even though the uploader will give you an option to use a drivers license, please DO NOT USE YOUR LICENSE. Use JUST a stand-alone picture of yourself. Photos from drivers licenses can be blurry and/or obstructed by watermarks, making them hard to use for ID purposes.
  • After you load your photo, scroll down and fill in your shirt size and other information as you go.
  • Toward the bottom, you will see three drop-down menus to select which teams you're playing for. This is VERY IMPORTANT that you select the correct teams...last season several people selected the wrong team.  If you are not playing in a particular division, select "I'm not playing in this division."
  • Finally, click Yes or No, depending on whether you played in the Spring 2024 season or not...then click the green "Save" button.
Fourth Registration Screen
  • Upon doing so, you should default back to the main screen, which will look something like the screen above. Hit the green "Continue" button.
Fifth Registration Screen
  • The next screen contains the various electronic waivers that are appropriate for the given season.  Click the "I Accept" button(s), then "Agree & Continue"
Sixth Registration Screen (Payments)
  • Lastly, you will see the payment screen. It is INCREDIBLY important that you select the correct payment option on this screen; selecting the wrong option will miscalculate your payment and delay your registration.

  • The first option will be the $15 portion of registration that goes to GMSA.  All players pay this each season, so it is automatically checked, and will be your starting total. Your final checkout total depends on the following options and number of teams you will be playing on for that given season.

  • The next checkbox option will only appear during each Spring Season registration; it will not appear during Fall Season registration.
    (During Spring registration, click this box only if you did NOT play in the previous season.) 

  • You will then check only ONE of the following FIVE boxes.
    (You must check ONE, but ONLY one, based on your number of teams.)

    Box Q1: If you are ONLY playing for ONE 11v11 team (either a men's 11v11 team or a coed 11v11 team), check this box.
    Box Q2: If you are playing for TWO 11v11 teams (one men AND one coed), check this box.
    Box Q3: If you are ONLY playing for one men's 7v7 team, check this box.
    Box Q4: If you are playing for ONE 11v11 team (either men or coed) AND a men's 7v7 team, check this box.
    Box Q5: If you are playing for TWO 11v11 teams (one men AND one coed), AND a men's 7v7 team (THREE teams total), check this box.
  • Then select your payment option and fill in your card information (Discover, MasterCard, Visa or ECheck are accepted).  
Last Registration Screen (Confirmation)
  • Once you submit your information, you should get a confirmation screen that looks like the screen above. Your registration is complete.

AGAIN (because so many folks have ignored this), please do NOT upload, scan, or otherwise use your actual DRIVERS LICENSE in this process. Take a headshot photo of yourself with your phone, or otherwise use a photo that is NOT part of your drivers license.

Photos from drivers licenses can be blurry and/or obstructed by watermarks, making them hard to use for ID purposes.  Any drivers license photos will be deleted and your registration will be delayed.
  • Registration for the Fall 2024 season is now open.
